Established in 1879 by German immigrants, Austin Saengerrunde keeps Central Texas German culture alive through Männerchor and Damenchor singing, bowling leagues, dances, and festivals. Its historic Saengerrunde Halle on San Jacinto Boulevard includes a large dance hall and classic bowling lanes, and partners with neighboring Scholz Garten for Austoberfest and other public celebrations. The facility is also available for weddings, parties, and community events.
