The Germanic-American Institute celebrates St. Martin’s Day with Laternenfest on Friday, November 6, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at 301 Summit Ave, Saint Paul. The evening includes a re-enactment of the St. Martin story with a real horse, lantern songs, a Laternenlauf through the neighborhood, and time around the campfire. Guests may bring their own lantern or an electric tea light; registered guests receive a free tea light. Food and beverages are available for purchase after the walk. Free street and GAI lot parking.
