The American Aid Society of German Descendants hosts Kirchweihfest on Saturday, October 17, 2026, at its Lake Villa grounds, 259 W. Grand Avenue, Lake Villa, Illinois. Doors open at 6:00 p.m. (event runs into the evening). The traditional Kirchweih celebration includes a $10 donation (Jugend and Kinder free), food available for purchase, and a cash bar accepting cash or credit for food and drink tickets. The society’s kinder and youth groups carry the ribbon-decorated rosemary “Strauss,” a hallmark of Donauschwaben Kirchweih custom. Distinct from the society’s multi-weekend Oktoberfest and November Schlachtfest at the same venue.
