The American Aid Society of German Descendants turns its Lake Villa picnic grove, pavilion, tent, and hall into a mini Munich for three consecutive Saturdays: September 19, September 26, and October 3, 2026, starting at 6:30 p.m. Traditional German bands, food, beer, dancing, and entertainment make this one of northern Illinois’ largest Oktoberfests, running since 1999. Everyone is welcome; volunteer opportunities are available.
