Deutschheim State Historic Site in Hermann, Missouri preserves mid-19th-century German immigrant homes and gardens along the Missouri River valley. Guided tours of the Pommer-Gentner House (1840) and Carl Strehly House (1842) introduce visitors to everyday German-American life, early printing, and kitchen-garden traditions. The visitor center includes exhibits and a gift shop; grounds and gardens are open sunrise to sunset.
