Join us for a hands-on program making traditional Czech holiday cookies! Working together, adults and little ones will have the chance to roll out dough, shape cookies, bake, and decorate. While our cookies bake, we will read a story and learn about cookie customs in Central Europe. Then, we will enjoy some fresh-from-the-oven cookies together, and you will get more to take home!
We will be making Linecké cukrovà (Linzer cookies), a classic Central European sandwich cookie. This program is recommended for children ages 7-11. Younger children with an interest in baking are welcome with adequate adult supervision.
Each ticket is for a pair of family members (one child + one caregiver). One additional family member can be added for an additional $5 fee. A portion of free tickets are available for SNAP-eligible families by emailing kitchen@freelibrary.org. Please notify staff of any allergies or dietary restrictions prior to the event.

Free tickets are available for SNAP eligible families and for anyone who cannot afford the fee right now but would still like to participate.
