This highly popular ticketed event grants you exclusive access to the 2022 Christkindlmarket Chicago at Daley Plaza before it officially opens to the public for the season. The exclusive limited ticketed event allows you to experience the market in a more private atmosphere. Instead of sharing the space with thousands of visitors and waiting in line, you can take your time while ordering from the vendors, and get a head start to pick from the unique gift wares and souvenirs. Stroll the Christkindlmarket and be the first to get your hands on the extremely desirable and uniquely designed Annual Souvenir Mug! Be part of the traditional opening ceremony with the official Christkind Prologue and special live entertainment!

Event Details:
5:00 pm – Doors open with roaming entertainment, photos with Santa and Mrs. Claus begin in the Timber Tent
6:00 pm – Opening Ceremony and official prologue by the Christkind at the stage

Can I purchase a ticket if I don’t have a PayPal account?
Yes! Once you arrive at the payment screen you will be asked to input your PayPal account information. You have two ticket purchasing options:
- Login and pay with your PayPal account or
- Click on “Pay with Debit or Credit Card” to pay without using a PayPal account
Is there an age limit or ID requirements to enter the event?
This event is open to guests of all ages; however, all guests must be 21 years or older and have a valid ID with them if they want to enjoy any of the alcoholic beverages. Any children under the age of 15 must be accompanied by an adult to attend. Children 5 years of age and younger have free admission and do not require a ticket. Any child between the ages of 6 and 14 qualify for the “Kinder” Package and must have a ticket to enter. Any child over 14 years of age must have a General Admission ticket to enter.
When do ticket sales end? Can I purchase tickets at the door?
General Admission ticket sales will be open until 6:00pm on Thursday, November 17th. Please note registration officially closes at 7:30pm. General Admission tickets will be sold at the door unless the event is sold out. If you are buying tickets at the event, we will only accept either exact cash or credit cards (cost of the ticket(s) plus a 3.5% convenience fee) at the time of sale. Please note that this event has limited capacity, and that tickets may sell out fast.
What are my transportation/parking options for getting to the event?
This event is located at Daley Plaza, 50 W Washington Street in Downtown Chicago and is easily accessible to visitors from all over, including arrival by car, train, bus, taxi, or foot. Is my ticket transferrable? What is the refund policy?
Tickets are non-transferrable. All ticket purchases are final.

Why is this a ticketed event?
This event is an annual tradition that takes place the evening before the Christkindlmarket officially opens to the public, giving guests the unique opportunity to experience the market at their own pace without the hustle and bustle of holiday revelers. In addition to that, the tickets come with vouchers for food and beverages and include special live entertainment that is not available on regular market days. The Christkindlmarket Chicago will be free to the public once it officially opens for the 2022 season on Friday, November 18th, 11 AM and will close for the season on Saturday, December 24th, 4 PM.

Are COVID-19 Safety Guidelines still in place?
The health and safety of the Christkindlmarket visitors, staff, vendors, and contractors are of the utmost importance to us. Please follow the guidelines below to help prevent the spread of COVID-19 and other illnesses.
• If you or anyone in your party does not feel well, have tested positive for COVID-19, or recently have been exposed to someone with COVID-19, please refrain from attending the event.
• Masks that cover the face and nose are recommended inside walk-in cabins and structures.
• Please cover your coughs and sneezes with your elbow or tissue and throw the tissue away.
Failure to comply may result in you and/or your party to be asked to leave the Christkindlmarket Chicago without refund.
